"Leaks open defrost A portrait on a bare wall, just plastered in a gray room. Besides the portrait, there are few things in the gallery space. A short wall of notepads - railing by the window; a group of soup bowls against the wall; a tapestry drain in one corner and a cobbled carpet pavement in another.

In "Mudança de Lugar" the most present sensation is that the objects are trying to act from their corresponding places. At first they seem to conform to a kind of spatial convention. It is this operation of taking advantage of the "right" place of things that makes us question their real nature and glimpse the nonconformity inherent in their existence. Thus, in the same way that there is the "right" place of the portrait that does not conform to the "right" place of the portrayed, there is also the place provided for the drain, which however is not the place provided for the carpet. But if the drain is as thin as the carpet, where will it belong? Paradoxes such as this are present in Débora Bolsoni's exhibition and as a whole lend density to the space that is practically empty.
